If you live outside the city limits it is very likely that your home is served by a septic system.
Thomas H. Erb & Sons, Inc. has been offering septic system services since 1970 when Thomas H. Erb III purchased a pump truck and started the company with the help of his father Thomas H. Erb Jr. At that time providing this service was a simple procedure. Today with more regulations, new technology, and advanced systems, what was simple has become more complex.
As Tom’s son, Ray, started in the business, he became deeply involved in learning everything he could about the industry and the needs of the community. Ray joined PSMA, a state-wide organization and worked with Penn State to develop industry standards & training for inspecting, maintaining, and managing septic systems. These standards are recognized by many townships & other states in the country.
With a goal to help homeowners navigate the regulations associated with system problems and installing new septic systems, Ray became and maintains a PA certification as a sewage enforcement officer. This training equips us to help homeowners understand the regulations and maintenance of their system.
Thomas H. Erb & Sons, Inc. has team members that specialize in the design, maintenance, repair, and installation of septic systems.
Many newer septic systems require service for pumps used to operate their systems. Advanced wastewater treatment systems that are being installed today require additional knowledge to service, repair and install these components. The folks at Thomas H. Erb & Sons, Inc. continue to learn and train for these advancements.
Servicing grinder pumps, which serve many people connected to public sewer, has become another important aspect of our company. We employ a group of service technicians that are geared to help service, install, and maintain these pumps.
